Nutritional Coaching

WHAT IS NUTRITIONAL COACHING?

We often find that the foods we eat cause problems such as digestive distress, weight gain or an inability to lose weight, or a diagnosis by a doctor of high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or Type 2 Diabetes. Nutritional counseling can help identify the foods that cause these problems, and identify better foods to eat to improve overall health and wellness. Nutritional counseling can help you make a lifestyle change for better health.

WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM NUTRITIONAL COACHING?

Nearly anyone can benefit from nutritional coaching. If you have been diagnosed with high blood pressure, high cholesterol or Type 2 Diabetes, or if you are struggling to lose weight or want to improve your energy, contact certified nutritionist Genea Avila and schedule an appointment to discuss nutritional counseling.

WHAT DOES NUTRITIONAL COACHING INVOLVE?

Our nutritional coaching typically lasts about four weeks – meeting once a week with Genea to talk about your diet, review your food journal, and discuss foods to avoid or add to your diet. With your dedication to improving your health, after four weeks most people have experienced positive changes and are on their way to developing a healthier lifestyle.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF NUTRITIONAL COACHING?

Benefits of nutritional coaching often include weight loss, fat loss, muscle gain, better overall health, more energy, clear skin, and lessened need for prescription medications – by improving their health, people often find that their doctor will lower their prescription for drugs related to high blood pressure and cholesterol.

WHAT ELSE CAN I DO TO IMPROVE MY HEALTH?

For many people, nutritional coaching goes hand-in-hand with other services at Balanced Health and Fitness, such as personal training, detox services, and sea-algae body wraps.
